Here's the honest version:
I sent a cold email once that I spent 45 minutes on. Personalised opener. Clear value prop. One clean CTA. I was genuinely proud of it.
The reply was three words: “Who are you?”
That stung enough to be useful. I went back and read the email through fresh eyes — and it was bad. Generic in the ways that are hardest to see when you're too close to your own pitch. It felt personal when I wrote it. It read like a template to the person receiving it.
RoastMyEmail exists because most people don't get that feedback. Friends say "looks good." Prospects just don't reply. Your CRM silently marks the thread as lost. Nobody tells you why.
The tool does what a brutally honest colleague would — reads your draft, calls out every weak line by name, scores it, and hands you a better version before you burn another domain reputation or another afternoon rewriting the same paragraph.
I'm a developer by trade. I build WordPress plugins, Chrome extensions, and small products that fix real workflow gaps. RoastMyEmail is the one that surprised me — turns out a lot of people are sending emails they know are bad and just hoping nobody notices.
Now they can fix it first.
